Dr. Eric GessnerPodiatrist in Colorado Springs, COColorado Foot and Ankle
Dr. Gessner is a Diplomate, American Board of Foot and Ankle surgery, Certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery, Certified in Foot Surgery, and Certified in Reconstructive Rearfoot / Ankle Surgery. Dr. Gessner was raised in Colorado Springs and knew this was where he wanted to practice medicine. He attended college at The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs where he was a collegiate cross country and track athlete. After graduation he went on to complete his medical training at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Following medical school, he completed a 3 year surgical residency in Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery at Community Medical Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Dr. Gessner also received advanced training in Pediatric Limb Deformities at Sinai Hospital’s Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics and International Center for Limb Lengthening in Baltimore, Maryland. There he focused on clubfoot correction and advanced pediatric deformity correction. Dr. Gessner has also traveled to Russia for training at the Russian llizarov Scientific Center for Restorative Tramatology and Orthopaedics where he focused on complex deformity correction and external fixation techniques with physicians from around the world. Dr. Gessner is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. His interests include sports medicine, complex deformity correction, pediatrics, and advanced bunion correction techniques. Dr. Gessner is married with one son and enjoys mountain biking, skiing and camping in the scenic wilderness of Colorado.

Dr. Bryan GrothPodiatrist in Colorado Springs, COColorado Foot and Ankle
In practice for 21 years, Dr. Groth grew up in Littleton, Colorado. He went to Arapahoe High School and Texas Christian University, where he studied biology and chemistry. Dr. Groth completed his residency and three years of surgical training at Western Pennsylvania Hospital, one of the nations' top podiatric residences. He has served as the Chairman of the Memorial Health System Podiatric Section as well as Director of the Colorado State Podiatry Board. Dr. Groth enjoys challenging cases and complex second opinions, being the first podiatrist to perform a number of procedures in Colorado Springs. Dr. Groth is both board certified in foot surgery and rear foot reconstructive ankle surgery. He is married with one son, who is adopted from Russia. He attends Rocky Mountain Calvary Church.

Dr. Jacob FassmanPodiatrist in Colorado Springs, COColorado Foot and Ankle
Dr. Fassman is a Diplomate, American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, Certified in Foot Surgery. Dr. Fassman is originally from the east coast and always dreamed of living in Colorado. He attended Ithaca College in New York and then Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed a three year residency at Benedictine Hospital in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery and served as Chief Resident. Prior to joining Colorado Foot and Ankle, Dr. Fassman practiced in New Jersey and was an attending physician at Inspira Medical Center instructing the surgical residents. In addition he served as the Medical Director of the Elmer Wound Care Center. Dr. Fassman is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Certified Wound Care Specialist (CWS). His interests include biomechanics, pediatrics, diabetic foot care, orthotics and sports medicine. Dr. Fassman enjoys all the outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer.

Dr. Maya TruemanPodiatrist in Colorado Springs, COColorado Foot and Ankle
Dr. Maya Trueman is board qualified in foot surgery. She attended college at the University of Maryland College Park, where she obtained a Bachelor's degree from the School of Public Health. She then went on to complete her medical training at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City. Following medical school, she completed a 3 year surgical residency at Hoboken University Medical Center in Hoboken, NJ. During her residency training, she attended the AO Comprehensive Fixation course as well as the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy Certification course. She also served as Chief Resident to a team of 15 resident physicians. Her interests include sports medicine and reconstructive surgery including management of flatfoot and other congenital conditions. She is married and enjoys skiing, tennis, trying new restaurants, and watching sports.
